Thank you for sending the newspaper regarding Esther Vogt’s death. The article was excellent; it sounds just like her.
She was a determined little lady, but very encouraging to other writers, even when they wrote the same type of book. I know, because she helped me so much over the five years I knew her.
When my first book came from the printer in Hillsboro in September 1996, she had me bring it to her booth at the Arts & Crafts Fair so I could sell it with her books.
Your city is richer for having had a great lady like Esther.
