Who really deserves credit for business?
I am not about to let Jerry Engler’s comments in the Oct. 17 issue of the Free Press go unchallenged (“Durham manufacturer celebrates 50 years in business”).
Jim Donahue did not build his business. Obama and the Democrats built it. Obama told us so awhile back when he addressed the concept of small businesses. He said, “You didn’t build that!”
I was there the day the floor to the new building was poured. It was all free government labor and the concrete was free to Mr. Donahue, too. I watched as those government bureaucrats hoisted the sidewalls and jigged the trusses. They were all wearing ties.
I would hate to think of Mr. Donahue taking any credit for the thousands of hours he has given to that government business so the doors could open each and every work day for the last 50 years. All praise to the government.
Seriously, people like Jim Donahue built this country and the Obamas of the world would take that business in a minute if they could.
Get out and vote.
