HCF grant will help feed local families

The Hillsboro Community Foundation facilitates charitable giving in support of projects and programs that enhance the quality of life in Hillsboro.

We, at Main Street Ministries, are thrilled about a $2,500 grant from the Hillsboro Community Foundation for our food bank.The grant will be used to buy food from Hillsboro markets to stock food-bank shelves.

For each of the past five years the food bank has exceeded the year before in terms of numbers served. Currently we serve, on average, 300 people each month from close to 100 families. Each month, we add 10 to 15 families to the list.

On their behalf, and ours, we would like to offer big thank-you to the foundation for this recent grant.
