Corrections needed for recent articleFor the most part I was pleased with the article about me in the June 13 issue, but I want to make a few corrections.
The first is about my previous employment. I lived in McPherson 14 years and in Wichita 16 years, where I worked as district manager for a safety company. I stepped down from this position after the deaths of my parents six days apart.
My next position was as a senior associate at a children’s furniture store. I had to step down from this position after an immobilizing car accident.
Because of my love for animals, my last position was a receptionist and veterinary assistant.

Thanks for the school reunionI am a 1953 HHS graduate and want to thank all who were involved in putting together such a great All-High School dinner and program!
I've attended several of these in the past (not for at least two years) and I think it is great to have a "program" such as Mr. Mohn presented. There was still time to mull around and see graduates from other classes, but I liked honoring the "five-year" classes and having the reminders of their accomplishments (because next year, we will be a five-year class).

Athletics contribute to education packageThe USD 410 bond issue election scheduled for June 5 invites the community to vote on a tax package that will improve four areas: the Hillsboro Elementary School, the Hillsboro High School, the district central office, and an athletic complex in partnership with Tabor College.
As the vice president of academics and student development at Tabor and a homeowner in Hillsboro, I would like to speak in support of the bond and of all four of the improvements being proposed.

More information about CoumadinI would like to add some information to the article in last week’s paper (“Healthy Hillsboro”) regarding food precautions when taking Coumadin.
It is important to know that Warfarin is the generic name for Coumadin, so if two prescriptions are listed with only one of the names, do not take both at the same time, which would be doubling the dose.
It is very important to follow up with your doctor regularly and get the blood tests to decide what dose you need; this may change at times.
Do not change your dose unless your doctor tells you to do so. Take the medicine at the same time every day and do not take a double dose if you miss one. Let your doctor know if you miss doses. Tell...
