Success by the local teams always contributes to a good feeling about a local athletic event, but this year’s Trojan Classic was a phenomenal accomplishment of statewide significance. Historically a tough tournament, this year’s event surpassed them all. The top four seeds in the 19th annual boys’ tournament brought a combined record of 29-7 to the tournament. In it’s ninth year, the girls’ event featured a top-five lineup of teams with a remarkable 37-1 combined record.
Complementing the high-quality of play is a support structure that is unmatched in terms of amenities that communicate a first-class approach to our guests. Congratulations to tournament director Robert Rempel and his team of Trojan Booster volunteers. You made us proud of our community in addition to our teams. —DR
