A group of 41 visitors from Wichita took in the history of Hillsboro June 5.
Friends of Wesley, a group of retirees affiliated with Wesley Hospital, toured the Peter Paul Loewen and the William F. Schaeffler houses and the Kreutziger School, led by David Brown, Mary Regier and Aleen Ratzlaff, members of the Hillsboro Museums Advisory Board.
The tour guests also purchased souvenirs in the Visitors Center.
The group enjoyed a German lunch of vereneka, Hillsboro sausage, zwiebach and cherry mousse, sponsored by the Lions Club at Trinity Mennonite Church.
The event, coordinated by Pam Riesen, Chamber of Commerce secretary, was planned by the Hillsboro Museums Advisory Board in cooperation with the city’s Conventions and Visitors Bureau.
