Young dancer auditions at Bethel event

Bethel College Academy of Performing Arts hosted a winter dance concert Dec. 21 and allowed students to audition dance pieces they independently choreographed and presented.

Amber Schmidt, 11, choreographed two dances for the audition and both were accepted for presentation in the show.

The first, “Catywhompus Jingle Bells” was a solo ballet humor piece. The second piece, a modern duet with her brother Aiden, 8, was danced to “I Hear Music” from the album “Raising Sand” by Allison Kraus and Robert Plant.
