Hillsboro ready to defend state volleyball title after taking sub-state

had defeated Hillsboro only four days earlier on the Trojans’ home court to take away the No. 1 sub-state seed from Hillsboro. Now 37-3 for the season, Hillsboro is seeded No. 2 at state and will begin state pool play at 3:30 p.m. Friday in the Bicentennial Center in Salina. The Trojans were the Class 3A state champions last season and are out to defend the title. For all the details, see Page 1B.
