Hillsboro High School pep band director Bruce Major receives some assistance from a pint-sized guest conductor during Saturday night’s basketball finale at the annual Trojan Classic. The diminutive director is Lily Major, who happens to be Major’s daughter. The pep

band was fixture at Hillsboro basketball at the annual tournament. The Trojans won the boys’ title with a 57-44 win against Hesston, while the girls dropped a 47-29 decision to Riley County in a battle of undefeated teams. For more on the tournament results, see Page 8A.
