TC football sets coaching staff

With the addition of special-teams co-coordinator Edward King, the Tabor College football coaching staff is now in place.Head coach Mike Gottsch describes King as someone with “great character” who will “make an immediate impact on the lives of students.”
The Bluejays’ newest addition will coach defensive line and outside linebackers as well as serving as special teams co-coordinator.

Former Peabody-Burns High School standout Tommy Phillips signed a letter last week to play football at Tabor College this fall. Phillips will be transferring from the University of San Diego.

The Tabor College Athletic Department has announced the signing of additional athletes for the new school year.<p>Jason Aubrey, Bartlesville, Okla., has signed to participate in football. Several Tabor College student-athletes were recognized for regional and national honors at its annual athletic banquet in May.In addition, Ashley Malcom, Lymon, Colo. was named Tabor’s “outstanding female athlete of the year” while Andrew Brubacher, Hillsboro, was named “outstanding male athlete of the year.”
The “outstanding scholar athletes of the year” were Emily Vogts, North Newton, and Lindsey Vogts, Moundridge.

Women’s basketball—Brianne Greene of Littleton, Colo., has signed a letter of intent to participate in women’s basketball at Tabor College for the 2007-2008 season.“We are excited that Brianne has decided to continue her basketball career at Tabor,” coach Shawn Winter said. “Brianne will bring strong leadership and an outstanding Christian commitment to our basketball program and campus.
