DEATH: Charles William Jensen, 76

Charles William Jensen, 76, of Overland Park, formerly a choral instructor in Hillsboro, died July 11 at Kansas City Hospice House.

Services were held Saturday, July 17, at Community Covenant Church, Shawnee Mission. Burial was at Johnson County Memorial Gardens, Overland Park.

Memorials may be made to Kansas City Hospice House and sent in care of D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, KS 66210.

    Mr. Jensen was one of my favorite teachers. I still fondly remember men's quartet from my senior year. Mr. Jensen made it special and fun.

    Mr. Jensen was a hoot -- he really got into his "directing" -- I remember he would just break out in a sweat when he was in his element ..... In the past several years -- we connected via email several times .... not exactly sure just how we happened upon each other on the "net" .... but it was good to chat with him again. To his family ... you have my sincere sympathies.
