Couple plan to wed Oct. 10 in Peabody

Ray and Marilyn Cook of Newton are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Sara Kaye Cook, to David Allen Lyon, son of Bruce and Teri Lyon of Wichita; and the grandson of F.W. and Juanita Sowers of Leon.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Earl and Lucy Janzen of Peabody.
She is a graduate of Peabody-Burns High School and received a bachelor of arts in English from Tabor College.
She is director of communications for Prairie View, Inc.
The groom-elect is a graduate of Wichita Southeast High School. He received a bachelor of arts in Communication from Wichita State University.
He is employed as a commercial producer at KWCH-TV.
The couple plans an Oct. 10 wedding at Peabody United Methodist Church, 403 N. Sycamore St., Peabody.
