Goessel FCCLA members attend state leadership showcase

The Goessel High School chapter of Family, Career, and Community Leaders of Amer­ica attended the FCCLA State Leader­ship Showcase in Wichita April 2-3.

The conference offered members the opportunity to gain recognition, become inspired by motivational speakers, and network with other members across the state.

Recognition opportunities included STAR Events (Students Taking Action with Recogni­tion), in which members plan, carry out and evaluate the results of their project.

Members who participated in STAR Events could obtain the rating of gold, silver or bronze. Kristin Unruh, sophomore, received a gold rating for her job-interview project.

Attending from GHS were: Amy Brubaker, Brittany Dirk­sen, Sierra Dirksen, Tricia Fensky, Aspen Frey, Aleesha Hines, Kylee Nikkel, Jamie Spoonemore, Kristin Unruh, Laura Unruh, Chrystiana Voth, Rochelle Webb and adviser, Ruth Goertzen.
