Eight piano students of Sheila Litke, along with four guest pianists, will be performing in a Piano Extravaganza at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, in the Tabor College Chapel.
The theme for this year’s event is “Afternoon at the Symphony.”
“These are all pieces written for orchestra and arranged for various piano ensembles, including duets, duos, trios, quartets and the unusual sextet, six people at two pianos,” Litke said. “The concert will feature pieces by Beethoven, Rachmaninoff, Liszt, Copland, Strauss and Mozart.”
The eight students are Sara Sagner, Jared Janzen, Zach Neumann, Cora Ruhl, Krista Neifert, Janelle Rust, Sally Epp and Megan Wiebe.
They will be joined by Bruce Heyen, Brad Vogel and Tiffiney Harms, of the Tabor faculty, and 2002 music graduate Jennifer Epp.
The concert is free and open to the public.
