Kindergarten round-up, USD 408Marion-Florence Unified School District 408 will hold Kindergarten Round-Up March 24 at Marion Elementary School.
Children must be 5 years old by Aug. 31 in order to enroll.

With the “8 Wonders of Kansas” announced, the Kansas Sampler Foundation is ready to start the search for the 8 Wonders of Kansas Architecture.KSF, a non-profit organization with headquarters in Inman, bases much of its work to educate the public about Kansas on eight elements of rural culture: architecture, art, commerce, cuisine, customs, geography, history and people.
The “8 Wonders” will be determined for each of the elements in four-month cycles.
By mid-April, the selection committee will have decided on 24 finalists for architecture and public voting will begin at 8wonders.org. The top eight will be announced at the end of June.

Hillsboro Kiwanis Club presented a $250 donation to Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Marion County. Pictured are Jackie Rice, BBBSMC executive director, as she receives the check from Bryce Wichert, Kiwanis treasurer. BBBSMC serves many children in the area, but others still wait to be matched with a mentor. If interested in volunteering, contact Rice at 620-382-3800.

Tampa Lions Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28 at the Tampa Senior Center.
A Tampa Community Association meeting will be held at 7 p.m. after the Lions Club meeting.Tampa Lion’s Club to hold pancake feed
The Tampa Lion’s Club will hold its annual pancake and sausage feed from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, March 2 at the Tampa Senior Center. Entertainment will be provided by the “Red Hat Ladies.”
Cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children ages 6 to 12.
