Flaming, Shewey wed in Oklahoma

Mallory Flaming of Weather?ford, Okla., and Clay Shewey of Hillsboro were united in marriage at 7 p.m. June 2 at Corn Mennonite Brethren Church in Corn, Okla., with Chad Kincer, relative of the bride, officiating.

The bride?s parents are Bryan and Debbie Flaming of Weather?ford. The groom?s parents are Andy and Kerry Shewey of Hills?boro.

The maid of honor was Tynan Honn. Bridesmaids were Sarah Wyckoff, Joni Robison, Bailey Bell, Vivian Olvera and Amy Outhier.

The bridesmaids wore lapis dresses.

The best man was Grant Shewey, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Mitch Friesen, Curtis Dick, Ben Gottsch, Tim Roesch and Keagan Flaming, brother of the bride.

The groomsmen wore gray tuxedos.

Owen Reid played organ and piano. Breanne Bell and Kierra and Kyra Shewey were gift carriers.

Symphony Welsh, niece of the bride, was the flower girl and Jacoby Welsh, nephew of the bride, was ringbearer.

Ushers were Jake Brucks, Sam Brucks, Kruze Sanders, Nolan Dirks and Sam Langhofer.

Honorary attendants were Sophie Mills, Diane Krehbiel, Allison Krehbiel and Roxi Koop.

The bride is a 2009 graduate of Weatherford High School. She is attending Tabor College and expects to graduate in 2013 with an elementary education degree.

The groom is a 2009 graduate of Hillsboro High School. He attends Tabor College and expects to graduate in 2013 with a degree in business, sports management and marketing. He is employed at Menno?nite Breth?ren Foundation in Hillsboro.

A reception followed the ceremony at Corn Mennonite Breth?ren Church. The couple reside in Hills?boro.

 

Just and Heyen exchange vows

Lauren Just and Benjamin Heyen, both of Hillsboro, exchanged wedding vows at 7 p.m. June 10 at Hillsboro Menno?nite Brethren Church in Hills?boro with pastor Gaylord Goertzen officiating the double-ring ceremony.

Parents of the bride are Darrel and Geneva Just of Hillsboro.

Parents of the groom are Bruce and Janell Heyen, also of Hillsboro.

The matron of honor was Kelli Dirks. Bridesmaids were Amanda Faber, Mary Goering and Rachel Goering.

The best man was Joshua Shaw. Groomsmen included Samuel Page, Darren Enns and Dustin Schrag.

The church was decorated with orchids.

The bride is a 2008 graduate of Hillsboro High School and 2012 graduate of Tabor College.

The groom is also a 2008 graduate of Hillsboro High School, 2012 graduate of Tabor College and is a medical student at the University of Kansas.

The couple is at home in Kansas City.
