Enns, Stauffer wed in Washington
Lisa Enns and Matt Stauffer, both of Seattle, Wash., exchanged wedding vows at 5 p.m. Sept. 2 at Lake Washington Sailing and Rowing Club in Seattle.
The double-ring wedding ceremony took place overlooking the lake with pastor Jeanne Rempel of Evergreen Mennonite Church in Seattle officiating.
The bride’s parents are Jim and Brenda Enns of Hillsboro. The groom’s parents are Rus and Deb Stauffer of Lima, Ohio.
Grandparents of the bride are Ronald and Dora Unruh of Durham and Lauren and the late Luetta Enns of Hillsboro.
The groom’s grandparents are no longer living.
The bride wore a satin strapless gown featuring an empire waist and pleating on the bodice. The pleating continued down into the skirt, ending in ruching on the side. The gown included several embellishments of sequins and rhinestones. The back of the dress featured an inset with sequin embellishment flowing into a chapel-length train.
The flowers for the ceremony, including the bride’s bouquet, were fresh flowers obtained from the Seattle Public Market on the morning of the wedding.
Attendants to the bride included Rachel Walker of Seattle, Jocelyn Busick of Hays, Amelia Brandt of Boston, Mass., and Kaleb Borg of Denver, Colo., all friends of the bride.
Attendants to the groom were Evan Eullen and Patrick Campbell, both of Seattle, and Holly Richmond of Portland, Ore., all friends of the groom.
Ushers were David Enns, brother of the bride, Mark Unruh and Lon Hiebert, both uncles of the bride.
The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father.
Wedding and reception decorators were Ashley Enns and Corina Enns, both sister-in-laws of the bride, and Barb Unruh and Deb Hiebert, both aunts of the bride.
Gift carriers and guest book photographers were Natalie Stollar, Erin Shelley and Meryl Roth, all of Seattle and all friends of the couple.
The soloist and guitarist was Darren Enns, brother of the bride.
The reception was at the same location as the ceremony and included dinner and a dance.
A backyard dessert reception was hosted by the bride’s parents at their home Oct. 7. The groom’s parents hosted an open house Nov. 25 for the couple at their home in Lima.
A rehearsal dinner was at 6 p.m. Sept. 1 on the beach of Puget Sound at Golden Gardens Park, hosted by the groom and his parents.
The bride is a graduate of Hillsboro High School, Hesston College and Kansas State University in Manhattan.
She is a mechanical engineer and pursuing a master’s degree in urban planning at the University of Washington in Seattle.
The groom graduated from Elida High School in Lima and Goshen (Ind.) College. He is employed as a controller in Seattle.
The couple honeymooned on Vancouver Island in?British Columbia, Canada.
Following the honeymoon, they are at home in Seattle.
