Hefley, Meyerpeter wedding Sept. 26

Hefley, Meyerpeter wedding Sept. 26 Amber Hefley and Matthew Meyerpeter were married Sept. 26 in the Garden Chapel at Big Cedar Resort near Branson, Mo., with brother Jason Meyerpeter officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Jim and Leanna Hefley of Hillsboro. She is the granddaughter of the late M.V. and Ruby Hefley of Hillsboro and the late Harry and Martha Klaassen of Newton.

The groom is the son of Gary Meyerpeter and Gayle Hoelscher of Columbia, Mo.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory Rosa Clar? chantilly lace and tulle gown with embroidered beading, taffeta sash and buttons cascading down the back to a chapel-lenth train.

She carried a bouquet of roses and hydrangea.

Attendants for the couple were their nieces and nephews.

Reese Hefley of Hillsboro was the bridal attendant. Cooper Hefley of Hillsboro and Pierce Meyerpeter of Birmingham, Ala., were the groom?s attendants.

Maddox Hefley of Hillsboro was the ring bearer. Berkley Meyerpeter of Birmingham was the flower girl.

A candlelight dinner was served after the ceremony with a dance at the Big Cedar Lodge. Parents of the bride hosted the ceremony and reception.

Parents of the groom hosted a welcome patio buffet dinner the evening prior to the wedding for all wedding guests.

The bride graduated from Kansas State University with an accounting degree. She is employed as a contract administrator for Ronpac Inc.

The groom earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri and his master?s degree in forestry from Auburn University. He is employed with International Paper Co.

The couple reside in Shreveport, La.

Perry, Vogts wed July 25 in Lyons

Perry, Vogts wed July 25 in LyonsKendall Shay Perry and Todd Ray Vogts were married July 25 at the First Baptist Church of Minneapolis with pastor Joel Grizzle officiating.

Parents of the bride are Mike and Cindy Perry of Lyons.

The groom?s parents are Steven and Karen Vogts of Canton.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents.

The matron of honor was Kristen Johnson of Litchfield, Minn.

Bridesmaids were Lindsay Sloan of Yukon, Okla., Casey Braswell of Minneapolis, Kara Svaty of Great Bend and Heather Shaw of Fowler.

The flower girl was Madelyn Johnson of Litchfield. The ring bearers were Myles Johnson of Litchfield and Quentin Sloan of Yukon.

The best man was Troy Vogts of Canton.

Groomsmen included Travis Schafer of Manhattan, DaWayne Stos of Moundridge, Jerod Horchem of Ransom and Dale Westbrook of Canton.

Ushers were Nick Vogts, Devon Stos, Jacob McCage and Eddie Beckett.

Music for the ceremony was provided by Henry Weiner of Sterling.

The reception was at Celebration Centre in Lyons with Lucky 7 Mobile DJ Services providing entertainment.

The bride graduated from Minneapolis High School and earned a bachelor?s degree from Sterling College at Sterling.

She is employed as an eighth grade English teacher at Hutchinson Middle School 8 in Hutchinson.

The groom graduated from Canton-Galva High School and earned his associate degree from Hutchinson Community College, a bachelor?s degree from Wichita State University and a master?s degree from Fort Hays State University.

He is employed as a journalism and English teacher at Sterling High School.

The couple honeymooned in Jamaica before returning home to Sterling.
