Erin Roschel Pentz and Tyler Scott Miesse were married at 6 p.m. May 9 at Lemon Park in Pratt with pastor Carl Helm of Marion Christian Church officiating. The wedding was a double ring ceremony.

Parents of the bride are Delmar and Linda Pentz of Macksville. The groom?s parents are Scott and Laurie Miesse of Marion.

Grandparents of the bride are Clive and Meral Cunday and the late Glen and Valeta Pentz and Butch and Elizabeth Ann Diel.

Grandparents of the groom are J.B. and Carol Miesse, Ben and Mary Funk, Mary Layman and the late Jean Miesse and Fred Layman.

The matron of honor was Shannon Bland and best man was Brady May.

Attendants were Heidi McComb, Jamie Wagner, Nancy Brant, Kandi Evans, Bill Anderson, Jarvis Whiteman and Thad Looper.

Junior bridesmaids were Brexten Layne Bland and Kami Anne McComb. The flower girl was Kodi Alayna McComb and ushers were Brady Keith McComb, Ryan Creech and Michael Wagner.

Soloist was Michael Wagner.

The bride carried long stemmed roses with a silver cross. She wore a white strapless beaded gown with train and long veil.

The reception was held on the fairgrounds in Pratt with assistance from Sharon Langlois. The rehearsal dinner was hosted by Scott and Laurie Miesse on the Pratt County Fairgrounds May 8.

The couple honeymooned at Eureka Springs, Ark.

The bride is a 2003 graduate of Pratt Community College. She is employed with Hair Company in Marion as a hairdresser.

The groom is a 2003 graduate of Macksville and is employed as a truck driver for Mies & Sons Trucking.

They reside in Marion.

Carmen Hein and Brad Gattis of Overland Park were married Oct. 4, 2008, at Hesston Menno?nite Church with pastor John C. Murray officiating.

Parents of the couple are Dick and Carla Hein of Hillsboro and Homer and Jan Gattis of Hesston.

Lindsay Adrian and Bailey Estelle served as maids of honor and Scott Shaffer and Matt Nelson as best men.

Bridesmaids were Christen Buller, Abby Jantz, Andrianne Bechtold and Jill Hein.

Groomsmen were Andrew Braun, Jared Reece, Patrick Miller and Jason Dechant.

Flower girls were Rylee Dundon and Emersyn Funk.

Ushers were Matt Hein, Sheldon Funk, Cole Esau and Stacy Elmore.

A tented reception was held at the home of family friends of the groom.

The bride is a 2004 graduate of Tabor College. She earned her master?s degree in social work at the University of Kansas in May. She is employed with Workforce Partnership in Kansas City.

The groom is a 2006 graphic design graduate of Tabor College. He is employed with Kansas City Prudential Realty in Overland Park.

The couple honeymooned in Negril, Jamaica, before returning home to Overland Park.

Burt-Wedding.jpg Gale and Burt exchange wedding vows at Milford Lake

Emily Nicole Gale and Kerry Scott Burt were married July 25 at Milford Lake near Junction City with the groom?s step-father, pastor John Lewis, officiating.

Parents of the couple are Krystal and John Lewis of Belleville, Doug Burt and Sara Kirkeminde of Council Grove and Allen and Deanna Gale of Abilene.

Grandparents of the bride are Stan and Marlene Eitzen of Hillsboro and David and Saundra Gale of Yakima, Wash. Great-grandparents are Victor and Evelyn Dirks of Buhler.

Carmen Hageman, friend of the bride, was the maid of honor. The best man was Logan Lewis, brother of the bridegroom.

The bride is a graduate of Abilene High School and currently attends Hutchinson Community College, pursuing an elementary education degree.

The bridegroom is also a graduate of Abilene High School and is pursuing a career in writing.

They reside in Hutchinson.
