Hillsboro couple wed May 19
Brian and Janet Klenda, both of Hillsboro, were united in marriage at 4 p.m. May 19 at Hillsboro United Methodist Church, 905 East D St. Pastor Morita Truman and Father Paul Oborny officiated the double-ring ceremony.
Parents of the bride are Steve and Michelle Glahn of Marion. The groom’s parents are Val and Julie Klenda of Lincolnville.
The maid of honor was Alexis Koop. Bridesmaids were Diedre Funk, Heather Murchie and Megan Shiraishi.
The best man was Greg Klenda. Groomsmen were Phillip Klenda, Alfonse Klenda and Ryan Janzen.
The flower girl was Aubrey Meeker and ringbearer was Wyatt Helmer.
The bride is a 2007 graduate of Hillsboro High School and a 2010 graduate of Kansas State University. She is in the nursing program at Wichita State University. She is employed as a certified nurse aide at Newton Medical Center.
The groom is a 2002 graduate of Centre High School and 2004 graduate of North Central Kansas Technical College. He is employed as an ag mechanic at Lang Diesel Inc., Hillsboro.
A reception was held in Pilsen. The couple honeymooned in Jamaica and reside in Hillsboro.
