Kent Rogers, pastor of the Salem church, officiated the double-ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Michael and Mary Lewallen, Newton. The groom is the son of Frankie Huxman, Newton, and Doug Huxman, Troy. Gift carriers were Becky Klassen and Melissa Moore. Candlelighters were Tara Goerzen and Amanda Warkentine. Musicians were pianist Cindy Siemens and vocalists Amy and Steve Sherbenou, Doug Huxman and Nicole Frazier. The maids of honor were Angela Lewallen and Kelly Lewallen and bridesmaids were Rachel Frazier, Titia Usher and Becky Richmond. The bride’s personal attendant was Laura Tennal. Flower girls were Jessica Crider and Erika Crider. The best men were Chris Huxman and Brian Sommer and the honorary best man was Ryan Huxman. Groomsmen were Max Sayler, Justin Harvey and Jason Warren. The ringbearer was Donny Tennal. Ushers were Myron Goering, Clif Tennal, Jeff Wharton, Matt Van Wingen and Garrett Crider. The bride’s dress was a white satin gown with a square neckline adorned with pearls and lace with a cathedral-length train. The reception was held in the church basement after the ceremony, followed by a dance at the American Legion. The hosts and hostesses were Jack and Patty Warkentine, Mike and Tammy Goerzen, Lorna Moore, Larry Myers, Al Green, Jim Flickinger and Chris and Becky Meyer. Reception assistants serving cake were Leanne Klassen, Cheryl Stucky, Barb Koontz and Connie Huxman. The bride graduated from Newton High School and is a spring 2000 candidate for graduation at Emporia State University. Her present occupation is retail sales for Dwyer’s Hallmark of Emporia. The groom graduated from Newton High School and Bethel College. He is a sports and news writer for the Hillsboro Free Press. Following a honeymoon at Disneyworld in Florida, the couple have made their home in Marion.
