Brook and Brookens exchange vows

Jannie Brook of Olathe and Andrew Brookens of Omaha, Neb., were married at 10:30 a.m. April 23 with pastor Rick Giardine officiating the double-ring ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Alan and Mary Ann Brook of Arkansas City, and Bob and Anita Brookens of Marion.

The bride wore a strapless ivory dress with a sweetheart neckline to the outdoor ceremony. She carried a bouquet of cream and green roses.

Matrons of honor were Amy Richardson and Katie Wallace, sisters of the bride.

Groomsmen were Nathan Hoffman, Justin Brookens and Michael Brookens, brothers of the groom. Ringbearers were Jack Richardson, nephew of the bride, and samuel Miller, cousin of the bride.

Ushers were Andy Crofoot, Keith Dudley, Erol Kinkaid and Ryan Thomas, friends of the groom.

Musicians were Justin Brookens and Michael Brookens.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Stony Point Hall, Baldwin City, and was hosted by the parents of the bride.

A rehearsal dinner, catered by Biggs BBQ from Lawrence, was held at Stony Point Hall, April 22.

The bride is a 2003 graduate of Arkansas City High School and a 2007 graduate of Mid-America Nazarene University, Olathe, with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. She is employed as a corporate staff accountant with ACI Worldwide, Omaha.

The groom is a 2002 graduate of Marion High School, and a 2006 graduate of Baker University, Baldwin City. He is employed as HR manager with KVC Behavioral Healthcare Inc., Omaha.

After a honeymoon to Williamsburg, Va., the couple resides in Omaha.
