Stinson, Brookens united in marriage
Jenna Jeannine Stinson and Justin Daniel Brookens of Bloomington, Ind., were united in marriage at 7 p.m. July 17 at Country Pines, Lincoln, Neb.
The double-ring ceremony was held outside and officiated by David Marker of Los Angeles, Calif. The bride was escorted by her father.
Parents of the bride are Greg and Becky Stinson of Lincoln, Neb. Parents of the groom are Bob and Anita Brookens of Marion.
Grandparents of the bride are Virginia Loomis and the late Leslie Loomis and Grace Stinson and the late Lloyd Stinson, all of Lincoln.
The groom’s grandparents are the late A.J. and Doris Hett of Marion and the late John and Ethel Brookens of Westmoreland.
The bride’s personal attendant was Kate Vanous of Irving, Texas, friend of the bride.
Ushers were Ryan Stinson of Lincoln, brother of the bride, and the groom’s brothers, Nathan Hoffman of Marion, Andrew Brookens of Omaha, and Michael Brookens of Minneapolis, Minn.
Reception assistants were Elisa Tworek of Lincoln, and Steven Patton and Aaron Elliott of Portland, Ore., all friends of the couple.
The bride wore an A-line style dress, ivory diamante in color with a strapless sweetheart neckline. The bride’s bouquet was white and green roses, belladonna, lily of the valley, white stock, astilbe, grape hyacinth.
Wedding colors were sky blue and summer green.
Guest greeters were Natalie Hoffman, sister-in-law of the groom of Marion and Brian Mika, friend of the bride, Lincoln, Neb.
A brass quintet performed and was comprised of friends of the bride and groom providing prelude and postlude music by Albinoni, Beethoven and Debussy.
A unity song jointly composed by the bride and groom was performed by the quintet during the ceremony.
The rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom’s parents, was at Laslo’s South, July 16 in Lincoln for the wedding parents and families.
A reception and dance was held at Country Pines immediately following the wedding. A second wedding reception was held Sept. 5 at Eastmoor United Methodist Church, Marion, hosted by the groom’s parents.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Lincoln Southeast High School, Lincoln, Neb., and a 2009 graduate of Drake University, Des Moines, Iowa. The bride is employed at People’s State Bank of Bloomington, Ind.
The groom is a 2004 graduate of Marion High School, Marion and also a 2009 graduate of Drake University. He is pursuing a master’s degree in trumpet performance at Indiana University at Bloomington and is employed at Meadowood Health Pavillion as activities assistant. He also plays second trumpet with the Columbus Indiana Philharmonic.
Following a honeymoon to Los Vegas, Nev., they are at home in Bloomington.
