Bartel, Groening wed in September
Hannah Bartel of Cimarron and Ross Groening of Dodge City exchanged wedding vows at 2 p.m. Sept. 4 at Emmanuel Mennonite Church in Meade.
The double-ring ceremony was officiated by pastor Mike Whalen.
Parents of the bride are Harlan and Karla Bartel of Cimarron. Parents of the groom are Jerry and Sherri Groening of Marion.
Grandparents of the bride are Paul and Lenora Wray of Walsh, Colo., and Ben Bartel of Meade. Grandparents of the groom are Tillie Schmidt of Marion and Irma Groening of Hillsboro.
The bride was escorted by her father.
The maid of honor was Sarah Bartel, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Esther Bartel, Abigail Bartel and Ruth Bartel, sisters of the bride.
Justin Groening, brother of the groom, was the best man. Groomsmen were Ray Helmer, brother-in-law of the groom, Jason Hooper, friend of the groom, and Aaron Helmer, friend of the groom.
Kameron Wray, cousin of the bride, served as ring bearer, and Sara Groening, niece of the groom, as flower girl.
Serving as ushers were Colton Olsen, nephew of the groom, Wayne Rychner, friend of the couple, and Adam Wray, cousin of the bride.
Music was provided by Sandy Boyd, piano; Sarah Bartel, cello; Esther Bartel, viola; Abigail Bartel, violin, and Ruth Bartel, cello and flute.
Guest book attendant was Julie Mason, cousin of the bride. Personal attendants were Whitney Lansdowne, friend of the bride, and Breanna Wray, cousin of the bride.
A reception followed in the church fellowship hall. Hostess was Jami Helmer, sister of the groom. Reception attendants were Tina Groening, sister-in-law of the groom, Jessica Spare and Karen Schutter, friends of the bride.
Following a honeymoon trip to San Antonio, Texas, the newly-weds are at home in Dodge City.
Dillingham, Siebert exchange vows
Douglas Dillingham and Christine Siebert, both of Garden City, were united in marriage at 5 p.m. April 24 at Garden Valley Church in Garden City.
Parents of the bride are Charles and Twilla Siebert of Garden City. Her grandparents are Johnnie and Ruby Siebert of Hillsboro and the late John and LuElla Jost, also of Hillsboro.
Parents of the groom are Charles Dillingham of Garden City and Charlotte Dillingham of Salina. His grandfather is Gilbert Dillingham of Wellington.
Pastor Tim Davis officiated the double-ring ceremony with Amy Browning of Deerfield, matron of honor, and Heather Siebert of Emporia, maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Lisa Graves, Gate, Okla., and Lynn Ballinger and Lisa Barrie, both of Garden City.
Best men were Wes Lundeen and Trevor Stapp, both of Garden City.
Groomsmen were Josh Marquardt and Dominic Marquardt, both of Junction City, and Earl Avalon of Garden City.
Candlelighters were Kim Marquardt of Junction City and Kelly Dillingham of Garden City.
Flower girls were Sydnee Marquardt of Junction City and Amara Browning of Deerfield.
Ringbearers were Jakob Marquardt and Gavin Marquardt, both of Junction City. Ushers were Aaron Browning and Jeff Braun, both of Deerfield, and Asa Stiles of Norton.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Elks Lodge in Garden City.
Reception assistants were Karen Miles, Jandee Miles and Kaylee Miles, all of Hillsboro; Amber Jost of Inman; Karis Jost of Newton; Amanda Siebert of Hays and Audrey Siebert of Wichita.
The bride is a 2008 graduate of Friends University, Wichita, with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She is employed as a residential life office manager at Garden City Community College.
The groom is a 2005 graduate of Fort Hays State University with a bachelor’s degree in health and human performance. He is a wellness coordinator at Garden City Recreation Commission.
The couple took a wedding trip to Trump International Resort in Miami, Fla.
Following their trip, the couple will be at home in Garden City.
