Shaina Makovec of Ramona and Cody Schafer of Moundridge exchanged wedding vows in a double-ring ceremony May 8 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Pilsen, with Father Paul Oborny officiating.
Parents of the couple are Gail and Marissa Makovec of Ramona and Gene Schafer of Tampa and Dee and Vaughn Juhnke of Moundridge. The bride’s grandparents are Herman and Audrey Kukuk of Perry, Okla., and Jane Makovec of Marion and the late Florian (Skeeter) Makovec. The bride is the daughter of David and Kim Kroeker of Hillsboro. Grandparents of the bride are Doris and the late Harold Kroeker and Don and Jackie Mickels. The groom is the son of Andrew Hamilton and the late Susan Hamilton of Atlanta, Ga.
The bride wore an ivory taffeta full A-line gown with an embroidered and beaded fitted dropped waistline. The skirt featured caught-up accents with the back cascading into a bubble hem chapel train.

Green, Lynch united in marriage Sept. 23

Rebecca Green of Hillsboro and Craig Lynch of rural Butler County, were married Sept. 23 at the Marion County Courthouse with Judge Michael Powers officiating.
The bride is a physician assistant at Hillsboro Family Practice Clinic.
The groom is a retired mechanical engineer and rancher. He has bought a business property in Hillsboro at the corner of First and Washington streets (old post office location) and plans to set up a small engine repair business and possibly home repair and handyman services.
The couple took a short trip to Kansas City and Omaha, Neb., visiting sites in-between, following the wedding.
Upon the sale of his ranch in Butler County, the groom will be moving to Hillsboro.
