Hillsboro seniors will attend “Fiddler on the Roof” at the Crown Uptown Theater Thursday. They will leave Hillsboro at 10 a.m.
On Friday, men’s coffee is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Everyone is invited for coffee, conversation and games.
A video, “Presidential Bloopers,” will be shown at the center following the meal on President’s Day, Feb. 21.
Games, gab and goodies follow the meal Feb. 23. Seniors can bring friends and games. A snack will be served at 3 p.m.
On Thursdays and Fridays, tax help is available at the center from 1 to 4 p.m. No appointment is necessary.
The following volunteered their time at the center last week.
Kitchen - Aileen Miller, Millie Hanneman, Irma Koop, Irma Groening, Judy Malin, Gladys Thiessen, Rose Hatcher, Vi Suderman and Mariann Unruh.
Meal drivers - Elgin Bartel and Wilbur Hanneman.
FISH transportation - Harry Thye, Hilda Vogt, Lydia Pankratz and Betty Bernhardt.
SENIOR MENU
Feb. 16: Covered dish.
Feb. 17: Oven fried chicken, scalloped potatoes, broccoli, whole wheat roll, angel food cake.
Feb. 18: Ham and beans, crackers, coleslaw, cornbread, strawberry/peach jello.
Feb. 21: Brunswick stew, tossed salad, crackers, strawberry shortcake.
Feb. 22: Reuben sandwich with sauerkraut or beef and cabbage, rye bread, apple rings, carrot coin salad, Amish sugar cookie.
Feb. 23: Roast beef/gravy, mashed potatoes/gravy, carrots lyonnaise, blueberry muffin, frosted lime jello.
