Senior Scribbles (Week of April 18, 2007)

Haris Zafar will check hearing at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, April 18, at the Hillsboro Senior Center. Postmaster Norman Bouwie will be sharing thoughts following the noon carry-in meal. The center will honor its volunteers during National Volunteer Week April 15-21 with a come-and-go coffee reception from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, April 19. To volunteer at the center, call Karly Winter at 947-2304. Men’s coffee is planned for 3 p.m. Friday, April 20. The birthday dinner will be held April 23. Following the noon meal Tuesday, April 24, a video titled “Controlling Cholesterol After 50” will be shown. Those who would like to begin receiving the monthly newsletter can call 947-2304 or stop by the center. A big thank-you to our weekly volunteers: Marcella Mohn, Carol Unruh, Irma Koop, Irma Groening, Mariann Unruh, Carol Hicks, Judy Goering and Ann Fast.
