March is National Quilting Month and there is a quilt display at Marion City Library.
Marion Senior Center has quilters, too. A woman from Chapman recently came in with quilts to be finished. She had a hard time handing them over, saying it was like leaving a child on the first day of kindergarten.
Jerry Kline called us from his travels in Texas to make sure everything was going well, and asked if we missed him coming in to eat.
Several residents of Marion Assisted Living chose to eat ham, beans and cornbread with us March 28.
The newsletter crew who assembled the pages March 28 included Norma Woerz, Beulah and Darrell Weigart, Ivanlee and Mary Ann Timm, Evelyn Jewett, Sue Clough, Jane Makovec, Elsie Reiswig and Nora Richter.
Theresa Graham and I attended our yearly training by the Area Agency on Aging. This session was in Hillsboro.
Virginia Bowers is back and brought treats March 30 to celebrate.
Our program was given by Thelma Blosser, showing a DVD of the Alamo.
