Senior Scribbles (Week of March 26, 2008)

Greetings from the Hillsboro Senior Center.

Our birthday dinner, a day to celebrate seniors with a birthday in March, will be Monday, March 31. Shari Morford will be our guest speaker after lunch. Mary McFadden will be available for foot care starting at 9 a.m. Tuesday, April 1.

A big thank you to our weekly volunteers: Irma Koop, Marcella Mohn, Irma Groening, Lois Nuss, Nellie Penner, Carol Unruh, Louise Rahe, Darlene Matz, Mariann Unruh and Carol Ollenberger.

WEDNESDAY, March 26

Roast beef, parslied potato, wax beans and pimento, wheat roll, fruit cobbler.

THURSDAY, March 27

Crispy chicken, broccoli rice au gratin, wheat bread, cinnamon apples.

FRIDAY, March 28

Baked pork chop, scalloped potatoes, braised cabbage and carrots, wheat bread, fruit cup.

MONDAY, March 31

Birthday dinner.

Sweet and sour chicken, rice, Italian blend, wheat bread, peaches with topping.

TUESDAY, April 1

Swedish meatballs, mashed potatoes, cucumbers and onions, wheat bread, five-cup salad.

WEDNESDAY, April 2

Ham and beans, cornbread, Jell-O with fruit, brownies, V-8 juice.

MONDAY, March 31

11:15 a.m. –– Exercises.

Sweet and sour chicken, rice, Italian blend, wheat roll, peaches with topping.

TUESDAY, April 1

9:15 a.m.—foot care and blood pressure.
