hillsboro senior centerWe want to thank everyone who attended Saturday’s community breakfast. All proceeds were used to support the center.
Later this month, we are planning another fundraiser to include a pulled pork meal and entertainment by Bob Delk and the Boys. The cost is $6 and is from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. April 25 at the center.
Bingo is April 10 after lunch and, don’t forget April 15 is tax day.
Those interested in taking the AARP driver’s safety class are encouraged to sign up.
Classes will be from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, April 16 and 17 with a sign-up sheet available at the senior center.
Haris Zafar of Wichita will be here at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 17, to give hearing aid checks.

hillsboro senior centerWe hope everyone had a happy Easter as we welcome in April.
Glad the snow is over, even though many of us would have preferred rain instead. Either way, we are grateful for the moisture.
Come join us Wednesday, April 3, when Jack Hobbs shares his antique tractors following lunch. Another activity to consider at the center on April 10 is Bingo, also following lunch.
The center is hosting a community breakfast from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 6 and hoping to see a good turnout. We will be serving waffles and sausage for $6.
April is also National Volunteer Month and I would like to thank all our volunteers for everything they do. This includes the center’s drivers for the Meals on Wheels program and our kitchen...

HILLSBORO SENIOR CENTERIt’s the last week of March and we are ready for April and warmer weather.
We won’t even mind the April showers. We will have our Easter dinner on Wednesday, March 27, but no more reservations can be taken. Anyone who would like to pick up their meal, though, can do so by giving us a call.
As a special day, we are asking others to wear their Easter hats on Friday, March 29.
We also hope everyone has a Happy Easter on Sunday.
April menus are available this week and can be picked up at the center.
Remember we are having a breakfast fundraiser from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 6, at the center. Please come and join us.

hillsboro senior centerOur heartfelt thanks go to everyone who attended the fundraising event Saturday at the Milk & Honey Bed and Breakfast in Hillsboro. We also wanted to thank Joyce Barkman for having the fundraising dinner at her place and Robert and Anita Brookens for providing the entertainment. All proceeds will go toward the center.
Programs this week include Haris Zafar of Wichita at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, offering hearing aid checks followed at noon by a business meeting during lunch.
Hillsboro Police Chief Dan Kinning will be here Thursday, March 21, talking about telephone scams.

hillsboro senior centerWe sprang forward, so remember the many activities planned this month.
Three events to mark the calendar for include: Bingo on Wednesday, March 13; a presentation on Thursday, March 14, by Sharolyn Tibbets, one of our board members, and on Friday, Show ‘n Tell.
For those wanting to participate in Show ‘n Tell, please bring quilts to share.
St. Patrick’s Day is Sunday, March 17, and everyone is reminded to wear green.
Tickets are still available for the center’s fundraising event at 6 p.m. March 16 at the Milk and Honey Bed & Breakfast. The cost is $100 per person and includes dinner and entertainment. All proceeds will go to help the senior center.
