A movie and popcorn will be offered after lunch Thursday, June 7, at the Hillsboro Senior Center.

The center will hold a fund-raising garage sale and silent auction from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. June 8 and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 9. Profits will be used for ongoing expenses.

Mary McFadden will offer foot care and speak after lunch for “Hug Your Feet” day June 12.

Jeanne Rziha will be offering diabetes classes from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. June 12, 19 and 26. Cost is $15 per class and $10 for materials. To sign up, call the pharmacy or Jeanne at 947-3048.

Commodity distribution will start at 10 a.m. June 13.

Those who would like to begin receiving the monthly newsletter can call 947-2304 or stop by the center.

Games, gab and goodies will be held after lunch Wednesday, May 30, at the Hillsboro Senior Center.

Donut Day starts at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 1.

Mary McFadden will be here for foot care by appointment from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 5. Karrie Rathbone, associate professor of biology at Tabor College, will speak after lunch for World Environment Day.

Haris Zafar will check and clean hearing aids at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday,May 16, at the Hillsboro Senior Center. Following the noon carry-inmeal, Sheila Schmitt, associate professor of piano and piano pedagogyat Tabor College, will give a piano performance.

Saline County extension agent Sherri Mahoney will speak after lunchThursday, May 17, about the history of sandwiches. Men’s coffee willfollow at 3 p.m.

The birthday dinner is Monday, May 21, with special music by Lonn and Bev Richards following the meal.

Gordon Mohn will share on the school district bond issue after lunch Wednesday, May 23.

A Mother’s Day meal will be held Friday, May 11, at the Hillsboro Senior Center. Bring your favorite memories and pictures of your mother to share.

National Receptionists’ Day is Monday, May 14.

A show-and-tell will be held after lunch Tuesday, May 15.

A craft activity titled “April Showers—May Flowers” will take place at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 7.
