We want to thank everyone who helped at the senior center’s annual meeting Oct. 18.
It was a good turnout.
In addition, we are grateful to our veterans for their service to our country, Lewis Hagen for his trumpet playing and Leora Grunau for her piano music.
Activities for this week and next week include Jenny Shipmen with the Alzheimer’s Association, who will be at the center Oct. 24.
“Show ‘n Tell” is scheduled for Oct. 26 with this month’s birthday dinner Oct. 29. Ron and Connie Shipmen of Marion will provide entertainment.
Everyone is encouraged to dress for Halloween Wednesday, Oct. 31. Prizes will be awarded. Bingo is planned that day, too.

The business meeting is scheduled for noon Wednesday, Oct. 17. Future meetings are on the third Wednesday of the month.
Haris Zafar will also be here that day at 11 a.m. providing hearing aid checks.
The annual meeting of the Marion County senior centers is Oct. 18 and a good turnout is expected. We will also be honoring veterans at the event.
Unfortunately, we aren’t able to take any more reservations for the annual meeting.
The center is grateful for all the hard work our volunteers, kitchen staff, head cook and board members do so that others can enjoy a meal, fellowship and other events.
For those who would like to volunteer, we still need help for lunch and substitute drivers are needed for the Meals...

We will be playing Bingo after lunch Wednesday, Oct. 10.
Starting at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, flu shots will be given. Call for details.
Our business meeting is the third Wednesday of each month and this month will be Oct. 17.

As we fall back into October the new menus are ready for pickup. We hope you can come join us for a meal and great fellowship.
This week we will have our board meeting. We are also going to be nominating new people to serve on our board during the noon meal Oct. 3 and encourage those who can to attend.
We want to thank everyone who supports our center.
We still need volunteers. Anybody who can help is asked to please let us know by calling or stopping by the center.
Remember anyone of any age can eat at the center.

We had our birthday dinner Monday for all those who celebrated a September birthday.
In addition, we are scheduled to play Bingo after lunch on Wednesday, Sept. 26.
October menus are available and we encourage people to stop by and pick one up. We welcome everyone to come enjoy lunch with us.
As we get into fall, anybody is welcome to stop by for a cup of coffee and enjoy fellowship.
Volunteers are still needed and for those who can spare a few hours, please call the center.
