We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving holiday with their families.

As for activities, we will play Bingo after the noon meal Nov. 28, and about 25 people will be going to see “White Christmas” Nov. 29 at the Crown Uptown in Wichita.

We have a fundraising event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 1. with proceeds helping the senior center. The menu will include two soups—chili and chicken noodle— and cinnamon rolls.?In addition to the meal, a booth will be set up for Christmas shopping and the center has arranged to have people sing Christmas songs, too. The cost is $6.

We have our board meeting at 9 a.m. Dec. 3. Following the voting, nine board members will start in January. They are Joyce Barkman, Anita...

We had a great turnout for our Thanksgiving dinner. Our thanks to Carla Koslowsky for playing the piano and Jona Baltzer for leading us in a music sing-along. Everyone enjoyed it.

This week Haris Zafar will be here at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, for hearing aid check. In addition, a business meeting update about the senior center will be presented during the noon meal.

Voting ballots for new board members will be at the center until Nov. 21 and we encourage everyone to vote. Ballots will be counted after the noon meal.

Our birthday dinner is Monday, Nov. 26.

December menus are ready to be picked up.

Our Thanksgiving meal is Friday, Nov. 16, but we are still taking orders for carry-out meals. With the large amount of meals being prepared that day, those wanting a meal to go need to call or stop by the center on Nov. 14.

Come join us Wednesday for Bingo.

The center will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday Nov. 22 and 23. Anyone who would like a frozen meal for Nov. 23 is asked to call by Nov. 16. Meals will be sent out Nov. 21.

We want to thank the Hillsboro High School band for performing Nov. 12 during the noon meal.

We would like to thank everyone for supporting our center Saturday for the community breakfast.

We served about 140 people and the proceeds will help with daily expenses.

Becky Hines from Rivercross Hospice will be here Nov. 7 to provide a program after the noon meal.

Show ‘n Tell is Nov. 9 and we are encouraging everyone to bring something special to share with us.

I am sorry to report we are full for our Thanksgiving dinner Nov. 16. We had a number of people sign up early and we are at our limit.

We still need volunteers and substitute Meals on Wheels drivers.

Anyone who volunteers will get a free meal the day they volunteer.

We hope you can come and join us.

As we come to the end of October, we will have a Halloween party Oct. 31, so come dressed up and you will get a treat and a prize.

On Nov. 1 we will be having souring stone artistry from Marion to show the arrowheads he makes.

On Saturday, Nov. 3, we will have our community breakfast from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. We will serve waffles and Hillsboro sausage plus coffee, juice and milk for $6. We hope you can come and support the center.

On Monday, Nov. 5, Eric Driggers will talk about Part D Medicare.

Our Thanksgiving meal will be held Friday, Nov. 16, at noon. There will be no extra charge for the meal. Please sign up by Wednes­day, Nov. 7, as we need to order food that day. We hope you can join us for the meal and...
