hillsboro senior centerThe center is having a program about hoarding Wednesday, May 22, presented by Gayla Ratzlaff, director of the Marion County Department on Aging.
Memorial Day is Monday, May 27, and we will be closed. Anyone who would like a frozen meal for that day is asked to let us know ahead of time so that meals can be picked up by Friday, May 24.
Justina Neufeld will be here May 30 to talk about her book, “Family Torn Apart.” It might also be a good day to enjoy a meal, too.
Chair massages will be available June 5. If interested, stop by or call.
In addition, Mary McFadden of Peabody will provide foot care June 11 by appointment.
Menus for June can be picked up soon.

hillsboro senior centerWe want to thank everyone who came to the Farmers Market and supported the center by having a meal.
Haris Zafar of Wichita will be visiting at 11 a.m. May 15 followed by a business meeting at noon with board members discussing how the center is doing.
Aegis Therapy will have the program at 12:20 p.m. May 16 and be talking about speech therapy.
The center’s birthday dinner is May 20. Come join in the celebration.

We are here for everyone, regardless of their age. The cost is $3.15 for people 60 and older or $5 for those 59 and under.

hillsboro senior centerWe hope the cooler temperatures are behind us and warmer temperatures will prevail.
Come join us after lunch Wednesday, May 8, for Bingo.
We are hosting the Farmers Market beginning at 5 p.m. Thursday, May 9, and we are looking forward to seeing you there. The menu includes pulled pork, potato salad, fruit, cookie and water for $6.
Everyone is invited May 10 to hear a Mother’s Day poem.
Remember Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 12, and we wish all mothers a happy day.
Mary McFadden will be at the center May 14 to provide foot care. Haris Zafar, an audiologist in Wichita, will be available May 15. Chair massages will be given June 5 and anyone interested in more information is asked to call the center.

hillsboro senior centerWe would like to thank everyone who came to our fundraising event Thursday. The pulled pork supper was served to more than 120 people with all proceeds benefitting the senior center.
Everyone said they enjoyed the meal and music, provided by Bob Delk and the Boys.
We are also grateful to our senior center’s board of directors for their hard work in making the event so successful.
With the end of April, a new month is starting. We sure hope Old Man Winter is gone as we look forward to warmer days ahead.
Show ‘n Tell is Friday, May 3. Everyone is asked to bring their Mother’s Day memories. We are playing Bingo after the noon meal on May 8.

hillsboro senior centerBingo will be after the noon meal April 24.
Come join us for a pulled pork supper with all the trimmings from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 25. Cost is $6 for the meal and entertainment, provided by Bob Delk and the Boys.
All proceeds will benefit the senior center.
The center’s birthday dinner is Monday, April 29. In addition to dinner, Leora Grunau will provide entertainment.
Menus for May are available and can be picked up at the center.
We want to thank all our volunteers for their help.
Remember that anyone, regardless of their age, is welcome to join us for a meal.
