HILLSBORO SENIOR CENTER

August is over and September is here with cooler temperatures not far behind.

Chair massages are planned for Wednesday, and bingo will be after lunch.

Barb Smith will talk about Bee Wise Thursday, Sept. 3, and Amanda Sheesley with Hatfield Mobility is here Friday, Sept. 4.

We hope others will join us for a meal soon.

The center is closed on Labor Day, Sept. 7.

Haris Zafar will be here at 11:15 a.m. Sept. 16 for hearing aid checks.

The Greenhaw Pharmacy Wellness Center is providing footcare Sept. 15. For those interested, call for an appointment.

During the Arts & Crafts Fair, the center starting at 10:45 a.m. plans to serve verenika, cherry moos and Hillsboro sausage.

The event is a fundraiser for the senior center with all proceeds going toward needed improvements.

We want to thank everyone for supporting their senior center. Any donations go towards keeping the facility going.

It takes a lot to run the center on a day-to-day basis.

For more information on these things, call 620-947-2304 or stop by 212 N. Main St. between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.

We welcomed Hilltop Manor residents Aug.26. They came for our program, pastor Ross Baker of Eastmoor United Methodist Church, and his wife, pastor Amanda Baker of Valley United Methodist Church.

They brought their youngest son, William, almost 2 years old.

Come join us Sept. 9 for a mystery program.
