We hope everyone had a safe and happy July 4 holiday.
Our jam session is Thursday, July 9; footcare is Tuesday, July 21; and hearing aid checks with Haris Zafar begin at 11:15 a.m. July 15. Also on July 15, Progres?sive Home Health is doing blood pressure home health checks from 10 a.m. until noon.
We are in need of volunteers because some people who cannot do this anymore. The hours would be from 11 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., and include helping over lunch and cleaning up. As a way to thank those who help, their meal is free that day.
We also could use substitute drivers for the Meals on Wheels program. If interested, please call us.
We are grateful to everyone who has donated toward the new freezer. We still need more, but every donation is vital and helps our center.

MARION SENIOR CENTER
We?re starting another month of good food, fun and friendship at Marion Senior Center. Watch for our menu on local television when we have hamburgers. They are grilled outside by Harlow Warneke. Come join us.
Virginia Downing brought in Charles Mont?gom?ery, a former regular here at the senior center. He now lives in Maryland.
Harlow Warneke celebrated his birthday July 2 by bringing us treats.
Our program that day was Grace Hett at the piano. She is a student of Anita Hancock, who played some duets with Grace.
We have a Tai chi class at 10:30 a.m. Thursdays at the center. Tai chi is graceful and good for balance.
Join us July 15 for Senior Center Day with a program available after lunch.
An efficient crew prepared the newsletter for mailing June 29. They were Fred Puttroff, Wanda Hamm, Evelyn Jewett, Shirley Bowers, Irmagene Goodman, Nora Richter, Marilyn Geis, Mary Hett Barb and Larry Smith.

For those who might have missed last week?s information, the July menus are available at 106 N. Walnut. We encourage everyone to pick up a copy. After reviewing it give us a call and make reservations for the days you would like to eat with us.
We had a slight increase in the price. For those 60 and older, the new suggested donation is $3.50, and all other persons are $5.25. Both prices are a bargain.
We hope everyone had a good July 4 weekend and liked all the festivities planned, including the well-known display of fireworks.
Don?t forget our indoor picnic Friday, July 10, at the Senior Center. We will have great picnic food with no flies, ants or the heat. This is a win-win anyway you look at it.
Our local board meeting is at 9:30 a.m. Monday, July 13. The Senior Citizens of Marion County meeting is Friday, July 17, and the business meeting will be Tues?day, July 21.
?Dinner with the Doctor? features physician Randolph Whitely after the noon meal Wednesday, July 15. Please join us.
