Accidents

At 8:20 p.m. July 18, Leann Jen?nifer Smith, 27, Marion, was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche eastbound on a campground road. She turned too short onto another road and struck a post with the right side of the vehicle. Deputy Lyle Gillet investigated.

At 11 p.m. July 22, Ira Elbridge Walker III, 67, Lincolnville, was driving a 2009 Dodge R25 pickup eastbound on 330th when he struck a deer that ran into the roadway. Sgt. Larry Starkey investigated.

July 20: Assisted Marion County Sheriff?s office with burglary investigation. Dog at large complaint. Deliver emergency message. House watch request. Investigate suspicious activity in the 600 block of South Lincoln.

July 21: Warrant service. Training new officer. Traffic accident investigation. Traffic enforcement for failure to use turn signal. Drug investigation. Domestic violence investigation.

July 22: Attend safety meeting. Warrant service. Drug investigation. Welfare check in the 200 block of F Street. Investigate verbal disturbance in the 400 block of South Ash Street. Non-injury traffic accident at Hillsboro Elementary School parking lot. Traffic enforcement for failure to dim headlights, brake lights out. Criminal damage investigation.
