Schmidt, Pluchino plan July wedding
Ken and Elaine Schmidt and Mark and Maria Pluchino announce the engagement of their children, Daniel Schmidt of Lehigh to Lauren Pluchino of Horseheads, N.Y.
The groom-elect is a 2002 graduate of Goessel High School, a 2004 graduate of Hesston College and a 2007 graduate of Goshen College.
He is employed by Coastal Airways as a pilot in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, Africa.
The bride-to-be is a 2004 graduate of Horseheads High School and a 2008 graduate of Bates College.
She is a graduate student at Columbia University.
A July 9 wedding will be at Sage Chapel, Cornell University, Ithica, N.Y., with a reception at the Aurora Inn, Aurora, N.Y.
A reception in Kansas will follow on July 16.
The couple plan to reside in Tanzania.
Mashburn, Reddin plan fall wedding

Mollie Mashburn and Matt Reddin, both of Siloam Springs, Ark., announce their engagement and approaching marriage.
Parents of the bride-to-be are Don and Cathy Mashburn of rural Marion. The groom-elect’s parents are Tim and Phyllis Reddin of Fayetteville, Ark.
Both the bride-to-be and groom-elect are admissions counselors for John Brown University in Siloam.
They plan to exchange wedding vows in late October.
Mayfield, Unruh to exchange vows
Dale and Lisa Mayfield of Hillsboro announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauryn Nicole, to Corey Michael Unruh, both of McPherson.
The groom-elect is the son of Rick and Lori Unruh of McPherson.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of Hillsboro High School and Eric Fisher Academy, Wichita.
She is employed at Illusion’s in McPherson. Her grandparents are Karon Hess of Marion and the late Don Hess; and the late Don and Janice Mayfield of Durham.
The groom-to-be is a graduate of McPherson High School and is employed as a firefighter/ EMT with the McPherson Fire Department. His grandparents are Pat Brauer of McPherson, and the late Richard Brauer and Bob and Donna Unruh, also of McPherson.
A wedding and reception/dance will be held Jan. 15 in McPherson.
