Kristin April Mueller and Eric Dean Bunnel, both of Manhattan, announce their engagement and plans to be married.

Parents of the couple are Donald and Francie Mueller of Tampa and Russ and Margie Bunnel of Welda.

The bride-to-be graduated from Centre High School in 2003 and plans to graduate with a degree in agricultural economics from Kansas State University in May 2008.

Amy Elizabeth McMillen of Blackjack, Texas, and Brian Lee Jay of Little Elm, Texas, together with their parents, announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

The bride-elect is the daughter of George and Judy McKinney of Blackjack and the late Duncan McMillen. She graduated in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and in 1998 with a master’s in business administration from Texas A&M University. She is employed at McKinney Moore.

Her fiance is the son of Larry and Peggy Jay of Goessel. He graduated in 2000 from Pittsburg State University with a degree in automotive technology. He is employed at Ford Motor Co.

Melanie Hagen and Phillip Thiessen, both of Hillsboro, announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Roger and Helen Hagen of HIllsboro. She is a 2003 graduate of Hillsboro High School and a 2007 graduate of Kansas State University with a bachelor’s degree in animal science.

Her fiance is the son of Walter Thiessen of Wichita and Pam Ratzlaff of Hillsboro. He is a 2001 graduate of Hillsboro High School and is employed at Klassen Dairy Inc.

The wedding is planned for Sept. 8 at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church.

Meghan Gentry and Matthew Esau, both of Tulsa, Okla., announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Doug and Mary Gentry of Mishawaka, Ind. She graduated from Penn High School and at­tended Ivy Tech in Mish­awaka. She is employed as a sales associate for Old Navy in Tulsa.

Her fiance is the son of LaVerne and Linda Esau of Hillsboro. He graduated from Hillsboro High School, from Tabor College with a bachelor’s degree in graphic design and from Bethel College in North Newton with a degree in music. He is employed as a graphic designer for Image Group in Tulsa.

The wedding is planned for July 21 in Tulsa.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Gaylord and Valera Hamm of Durham and George and Evelyn Youngers of Garfield. She graduated in 2005 from Hillsboro High School and is a student at Kansas State University majoring in elementary education.
