• robert “BOB” echtenacher, 84,
retired from work in the aircraft industry, died Feb. 18 at Peabody Care Center in Peabody.
No service was held locally and the decedent’s remains will be buried in California.
He was born April 26, 1928, to William and Rita Krueger Echtenacher in Chicago, Ill. On July 24, 2010, he was married to Sherrill Lanning, who survives.
Other survivors include adopted sons and stepchildren.
• aubrey louise meisel silva, 31,
formerly of Goessel and employed at Target in Wichita, died Feb. 18.
The service was Feb. 23 at Grace Community Church, 1600 S. Anderson Road, Newton, with pastors Dave Reimer and Steve Friesen officiating.
She was born Oct. 12, 1981, to Bud and Sue Meisel in Ulysses. Her husband, Shivanka Mandoya Silva, survives.
Other survivors include daughter Dayani Grace; her parents of Newton; brother Nickolus and Jeanne Meisel of Pullman, Wash.; sister Jill and Chris Peterson of Greeley, Colo., and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

• Mildred ruth weyand, 87,
a retired cook and Sterling Drug employee of Canton, died Feb. 22 at Pine Village in Moundridge.
The service is at 2 p.m. Feb. 27 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Canton. Burial is at the church cemetery.
She was born Jan. 28, 1926, to Otto and Susie (Auernheimer) Vogts at Canton. On May 30, 1954, she was married to Clarence L. Weyand, who predeceased her Dec. 18, 2007.
Survivors include sons Allen R. Weyand of Dallas, Texas and Terry L. Weyand of Canton; twin brothers Richard and Robert Vogts, both of Canton; sister Ethel Allred of Odessa, Texas; two granddaughters and numerous nieces and nephew.

• frank yakesch jr., 90,
formerly of Duncan, Okla., a retired U.S. Army command sergeant major and later manager of a parts store, died Feb. 18 at Parkside Homes, Hillsboro.
The funeral was Feb. 22 at Bray, Okla. A graveside service was Feb. 23 at Wilson City Cemetery at Wilson.
He was born April 19, 1922, to Frank and Elvena (Meyer) Yakesch near Lilac, Texas. On Jan. 16, 1998, he was married to Shirley (Brack) McWhirt, who survives.
Other survivors include step-children David McWhirt and wife Debbie of Alexandria, Va., and Raelene Heitschmidt and husband Todd of Marion; siblings Evelyn Muckelrath of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Ruth O’Conner of Gustine, Texas; four step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
