Deaths (Feb. 15, 2012)

? MARTHA FAST, 85,

a retired teacher, died Feb. 10 at Parkside Homes in Hillsboro.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, at Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church, 610 S. Main St., Hillsboro, with pastor Roy Keller officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Gnadenau Cemetery, two miles south of Hillsboro.

Visitation is from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at Parkview M.B. Church.

She was born May 5, 1926, to M.A. and Helen (Epp) Kroeker at Dolton, S.D. On Dec. 26, 1963, she was married to David E. Fast, who survives.

Other survivors include sons Eddie and Joan Morales of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Paul and Anita Fast of Bolingbrook, Ill.; brothers Warner Kroeker, Alvin Kroeker and Orlando Kroeker; sisters Mary Loewen and Elvira Plett and eight grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Mennonite Brethren Missions and sent in care of Jost Funeral Home, 401 S. Washington St., Hillsboro, KS 67063-1727.

? JOYCE HANNEMAN, 80,

a farm wife, died Feb. 11 in Hillsboro.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, at Ebenfeld Mennonite Brethren Church, 1498 Kanza, Hillsboro, with pastor Gaylord Goertzen officiating.

A private family burial was planned.

She was born May 19, 1931, to Thomas and Maude (Carter) Costello at Tampa. On Feb. 13, 1945, she was married to Ervin Hein, who predeceased her. On Sept. 4, 1979, she was married to Clifford Hanneman, who also predeceased her.

Survivors include sons Dick and Carla Hein and Steven and Barb Hein, both of Hillsboro; daughters Patricia and Ken Funk of Dodge City and Sharon and Gerald Funk of Hillsboro; brother Darrel and Marge Costello; 11 grandchildren and 13 great -grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer?s Association or Ebenfeld M.B. Church and sent in care of Jost Funeral Home, 401 S. Washington St., Hillsboro, KS 67063-1727.
