• Audrey berg, 100,
retired office manager for Federal Crop Insurance Corp., died July 23 at Parkside Homes in Hillsboro.
A graveside service was July 26 at Highland Cemetery in Minneapolis with pastor Morita Truman officiating.
She was born Dec. 15, 1911, to Aruther and Edith (Maxon) Heal in Clyde. On Jan. 1, 1933, she was married to Peter Berg, who predeceased her in 1990.
Survivors include son LeRoy Berg of Hillsboro; daughter Janice and Charles Crocker of Indianola, Iowa; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Hillsboro United Methodist Church or Parkside Homes and sent in care of Jost Funeral Home, 401 S. Washington St., Hillsboro, KS 67063, also in charge of arrangements.

• glenda rae bernhardt, 51,
of Marion, employed as a secretary for an optometrist and dental assistant, died July 25 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, Mo.
Services were July 28 at Eastmoor United Methodist Church, with pastor Vernon Bowers officiating. Burial was at Claney Cemetery in rural Marion.
She was born July 5, 1961, to Paul and LaVerna Liby Higle in Glasco. On Nov. 11, 2010, she was married to Jason Bernhardt, who survives.
Other survivors include son Lane Stewart of Derby; stepson and daughter, Cadan and Brooke Bernhardt of Lehigh; daughters Pam Waggoner of Wichita, Jamie Darnall of Glasco, Keisha and Desarae Waggoner, both of Rose Hill; brother Tony Higle of Glasco; sisters Paula Jones of Jamestown and Kelli Darnall of Glasco; six grandchildren and in-laws Sam and Kathy Bernhardt of Marion.

• Myrtle m. nesius, 91,
formerly of Hillsboro, employed as town clerk, died July 20 in Littleton, Colo.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Aug. 24 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1004 Willow St., Wheatland, Wyo.
She was born Oct. 3, 1920, to Gustav and Martha Matz in Hillsboro. On June 21, 1946, she was married to Bernard “Budd” Nesius, who predeceased her in 2002.
Survivors include brothers Raymond Matz, LeRoy Matz and Ronald Matz; children Pamela Nesius of Littleton, Colo., Anthony and Kim Nesius of Wheatland, Wyom., and Kevin and Kris Nesius of Murrieta, Calif.; six grandchildren and one great-grandson.

• Nuna lee friesen parks, 83,
a retired elementary teacher, died July 27 at Salem Home in Hillsboro.
Services were July 30 at Ebenfeld Mennonite Brethren Church, 1498 Kanza, Hillsboro, with pastor Gaylord Goertzen officiating. Burial was at Gnadenau Cemetery in rural Hillsboro.
She was born Sept. 7, 1928, to Mart and Agnes (Groening) Friesen of Newton. On Nov. 19, 2011, she was married to Edward Parks Sr., who survives.
Other survivors include a daughter-in-law Jill Schierling of Hillsboro; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

• ARThur “art” wilhelm schultz, 77,
of McPherson, who owned businesses in Hillsboro, died July 25 at McPherson Care Center.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Aug. 18 at Stockham Funeral Home with pastor Tom Mayse officiating. There will be no visitation.
He was born Feb. 7, 1935, to Julius and Mary (Seitz) Schultz in Hillsboro. On Jan. 17, 1960, he was married to Judy E. Tipton, who survives.
Other survivors include cousins Ken and Dixie Ingram and Todd and Barb Bacon and Judy’s aunt and uncle, Marie and Wallace Bacon.
