• HAROLD B. JOST, 97, retired Hillsboro city clerk, died May 30 at Salem Home in Hillsboro.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, at Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church, 610 S. Main St., Hillsboro, with pastor Roy Keller officiating.
Burial will precede the service at 10 a.m. at Gnadenau Cemetery, rural Hillsboro.
He was born Oct. 30, 1914, to John R. and Helena Baerg Jost in Hillsboro. On April 25, 1943, he was married to Marie Franz, who predeceased him.
Survivors include sons Howard and Shanti Jost of North Haledon, N.J., and Loren and Katy Jost of Riverton, Wyo.; daughters Annette and Wayne Albrecht of Richardson, Texas, and Christine Harms of San Mateo, Calif.; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Salem Home or Parkview MB Church and sent in care of Jost Funeral Home, 401 S. Washington St., Hillsboro, KS 67063.

• L. Maxine Phillips, 87, a homemaker of Galva, died June 4 at The Cedars in McPherson.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 7, at Empire Cemetery in Galva. There is no visitation.
She was born May 14, 1925, to Durward and Veda (Folck) Titus in rural Little River. On June 10, 1955, she was married to Loren C. Phillips, who survives.
Other survivors include sons Gene and Linda Phillips of McPherson and Jerry and Kayla Phillips of Galva; daughter Sherry Phillips and Sandy Schreiner of Hutchinson; sister Patty and Chuck McDonald of Arkansas City; six grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the VFW Auxiliary and sent in care of Olson’s Mortuary, P.O. Box 355, Canton, KS 67428, in charge of arrangements.
• Thomas Ratzloff, 89, a farmer and stockman, died June 2 at this home in Canton.
Services were June 4 at Spring Valley Mennonite Church, Canton. Burial was at Valley View Cemetery, Roxbury.
He was born Feb. 7, 1923, to Jonas and Katherine (Holdeman) Ratzloff in Meridian Township near Hesston. On Oct. 24, 1947, he was married to Viola Koehn, who survives.
Other survivors include son Loren; daughters Gail and Dwight Ewert and Tracey and Marvin Wert; three grandchildren: three step-grandchildren; three step-great grandchildren and sister-in-law Jean Ratzloff.
Memorials may be made to Spring Valley Mennonite Church or MCC, both in care of the church at 2896 Frontier Road, Canton, KS 67428.
