• harold “buck” balzer, 89,
retired teacher and coach of Buhler, died April 28 at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 2 at Buhler Mennonite Church, 220 West Ave. B, Buhler, with pastor Bob Dalke officiating. Burial will follow at Buhler Cemetery.
He was born April 5, 1923, to Isaac and Tena Adrian Balzer at Inman. On Dec. 28, 1945, he was married to Darlene Steinert at McPherson, who survives.
Other survivors include daughter Susie Caster of Wichita; brother Robert of Topeka; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Buhler High School and sent in care of Buhler Mortuary, 120 N. Main St., Buhler, KS 67522, also in charge of arrangements.
• DELORIS ANN JAMES, 63,
a homemaker, died April 24 at Salem Home in Hillsboro.
Services were April 29 at Marion Presbyterian Church with pastor Jeremiah Lange officiating.
Burial was April 30 at Graceland Cemetery, Meade.
She was born Nov. 8, 1948, to Lee and Lillie James in Fayetteville, Ark. In 1968, she was married to JD Neufeld.
Survivors include son Darin and Jona Neufeld of Marion; daughter Jana Neufeld of Hillsboro; brothers Melvin James of Flagstaff, Ariz., and Milton James of Tucson, Ariz.; her mother of Springdale, Ark.; three grandchildren and many nephews, nieces, aunts and uncles.
Memorials may be made to Salem Home in Hillsboro and sent in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, P.O. Box 6, Marion, KS 66861.
