• BEVERLY J. HELMER, 69,
a secretary for many years and also employed at Marion Pharmacy, died April 9 at her home in Marion.
Services were April 13 at Marion Christian Church. Burial was at Marion Cemetery.
She was born April 15, 1942, to Eugene and Pearl Rockey Cook at Hillsboro. She was married to Gary Helmer of Marion, who survives.
Other survivors include children Dan (Jeanette) Schaefer of Hillsboro and Gina (Lisa Pinney) Schaefer of Marion; stepchildren Michelle (Steve) Glahn of Marion, Angela (Mike) Spielman of Baldwin City and Dwayne (Scott Garvey) Helmer of Lenexa and their families; twin sister Barbara (Chris) Graham of Abilene and siblings Jim (Sheila) Cook of Marceline, Mo.; Mary Gilchrist of Petaluma, Calif., and Susie (John) Hargis of Napa, Calif.

• CECILE PENNEY, 73,
died April 13 at her home in Topeka.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 18, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 3625 SW Wanamaker Road, Topeka. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Topeka.
She was married to Howard L. Weyand Feb. 17, 1957, who predeceased her Dec. 24, 1979. She married Donald Penney on July 31, 1982, who predeceased her on Jaan. 7, 2011.
Survivors include children, Jolene and Roy and Kevin and Andrea; four grandchildren, sister Lucille; brothers Virgil, Alfred and Elmer; six God children; four stepchildren, four step-grandchildren and one step great granddaughter.

• Archie wiselogel, 87,
of Hillsboro, a business owner, died April 14 in McPherson.
A private service is planned.
He was born Jan. 6, 1925, to Archie and Myrtle (Clingan) Wiselogel in Eaton Rapids, Mi. On Sept. 7, 1946, he was married to Geneva Kellogg, who survives.
Other survivors include son Thomas G. Wiselogel of Tucson, Ariz.; daughter Dianne (Gary) Myers of McPherson; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

• darrell wyss, 71,
who farmed near Burns, died April 10 at Golden Living Center in El Dorado.
Services were April 13 at Temple Baptist Church, 925 Douglas Road, El Dorado. Burial was at Ebenezer Cemetery in rural Burns.
He was born Aug. 11, 1940, to William and Martha (Criger) Wyss in Newton. On Dec. 6, 1959, he was married to Virginia Noell, who survives.
Other survivors include daughters Esther and Jeff Glaesman of Burns, Debbie and Terry Chastain of Ulysses and Joanna and Matthew Hadley of Burns; brothers Alan Wyss of Burns and Cliff Wyss of Newton; sisters Sharon and Dan Bellis of Wichita and Loretta and Don Patterson of Augusta; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
