• MARGUERITE GOERTZ, 96,
owner of Marguerite’s Mercantile Store, died March 17, at Hillsboro.
A private service is planned.
She was born Feb. 27, 1916, to Clement DeLair and Lydia (Shafer) DeLair of Oketo. She was married in 1933 to Ben F. Pankratz, who predeceased her. She was also married in 1987 to Norton Goertz, who predeceased her.
Survivors include daughters Benita Holliday of Brownwood, Texas, and Rosemary and Bob Souza of San Lorenzo, Calif.; sister Gwydotta Herbal of Eugene, Ore; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Salem Home in Hillsboro and sent in care of Jost Funeral Home, 401 S. Washington St., KS 67063, in charge of arrangements.

• ROSE AGNES THIESSEN JOST, 90,
died March 8 at Kidron Bethel Health Care in North Newton.
A memorial service is at 11 a.m. March 23 at First Mennonite Church, 429 E. First St., Newton.
She was born April 17, 1921, to Jacob and Mary (Klaassen) Thiessen near Conway. On May 7, 1943, she was married to Titus Jost, who predeceased her.
Survivors include brothers Howard of Inman and Millerd of Florence, Colo.; sister Lou Ella Scobie of Grand Island, Neb.; sons Stanley and Marilyn of Newton, Gene of Peabody and Jerrold and Deborah of Lawrence; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

• DOROTHY ODLE, 95,
a farmer and rancher’s wife, of Eureka died March 12 at the Eureka Nursing Center in Eureka.
Services were March 16 at the Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home in Cottonwood Falls with pastor Rick Smith officiating. Burial was at Homestead Cemetery in Homestead Community.
She was born April 19, 1916, to Crosby L. and Ellian N. Caress Merritt at Clements. On Nov. 5, 1933, she was married to Vernon Odle, who predeceased her April 21, 1992.
Survivors include son Larry R. Odle of Howard; daughter Twila M. Northern of Mesquite, Nev..; eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

• ERNA REIMER, 95,
a retired bookkeeper, died March 17 at Bethesda Home in Goessel.
A graveside service was March 20 at Goessel Mennonite Church Cemetery, followed by a memorial service at Goessel Mennonite Church, 109 S. Church St., with Pastor Robert Yutzy officiating.
She was born Aug. 16, 1916, to Abraham S. and Katharina Buller Reimer at Canton.
Survivors include sisters Dora Franz and Milda Reimer, both of Goessel and Linda Bartel and Lenora and Harold Woelk, all of Hillsboro and several nieces and nephews.

• WILBUR A. YOUNG, 83,
retired from King Motor Company and Martin NAPA Auto Parts in Hesston, died March 17 at Newton Medical Center, Newton.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 21, at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church, 1304 Kansas Highway 15, Goessel, with pastors Linda Ewert and Steve Schmidt officiating. Burial will follow at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., with family present from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., March 20 at Miller-Ott Funeral Home, 107 S. Lancaster, Hesston.
He was born Oct. 17, 1928, to Harry and Anna Reimer Young in McPherson County. On Sept. 18, 1960, he was married to Margie Unruh, who survives.
Other survivors include son Mark of Hesston; daughter Cheryl and Robert Ellis of Kansas City, Mo.; three granddaughters and sisters Arline and Bud Bachman of Hesston and sister Aline Bachman of Moundridge.
