• F. RENE KORBE, 51,
a homemaker and LPN of McPherson, died Jan. 28 while in the company of family at Cedars Health Care Center in McPherson.
Services were Feb. 2 at Kings Highway Baptist Church in McPherson with Pastor Martin Coon officiating. Burial was at McPherson Cemetery.
She was born Jan. 25, 1961, to Marilyn (Bruce) Fern and Gerald Lee Winslow in McPherson. On Aug. 16, 1980, she was married to Norman Eugene Korbe, who survives.
Other survivors include children Dawn Marie Korbe and fiance Jaden Rickerson of Canton, Wendy Lee Korbe and significant other David Sheetz of McPherson and Nicholas Ray Korbe of McPherson; her father; brothers Rick Gene Winslow and his special friend Deanna Frye of Marquette, James “Jim” Dean Winslow of Hillsboro and Bruce Gerald and Janell Winslow of Moundridge; maternal grandmother Edna R. Bruce of McPherson; six grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Memorials may be made to Kings Highway Baptist Church and sent in care of Glidden-Ediger Funeral Home, 222 W. Euclid St., McPherson, KS 67460, in charge of arrangements.
• ERMA PANKRATZ, 83,
a teacher and volunteer, died Feb. 6 at Bethesda Home in Goessel.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church, 1304 Kansas Highway 15, Goessel, with pastors Linda Ewert and Steve Schmidt officiating. A graveside service will be at 9:30 a.m. at Haven Rest in Hillsboro.
Visitation is 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday with the family present from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Miller-Ott Funeral Home, 303 E. Main St., Goessel.
She was born April 17, 1928, to Rudolph and Katherine Flaming Hiebert in Goessel.
On May 25, 1948, she was married to Wesley Pankratz , who predeceased her June 7, 2005.
Survivors include sons Dean and Donna of Bennett, Colo., and Robert of St. Louis, Mo.; daughters Janet and Gary Duerksen of Lehigh and Karen and Ed Schultz of Alpha, Ill.; brother Vernon and Clara of Hillsboro; sisters Pearl and Paul Marley of Desert Hot Springs, Calif. and Adeline and Chuck Mills of Tolleson, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and five step-great- grandchildren.

• JERALD DEAN UNRUH, 69,
a rancher and auto mechanic, died Feb. 2 at Parkside Homes in Hillsboro.
Services were Feb. 4, at Ebenfeld Mennonite Brethren Church, 1498 Kanza Road, Hillsboro, with pastor Gaylord Goertzen officiating. Burial was at Ebenfeld Cemetery, rural Hillsboro.
He was born Jan. 13, 1943, to Walter and Marcella (Groening) Unruh in Wichita. On July 12, 1968, he was married to Kaylene Johnson, who survives.
Other survivors include daughters Jonelle and Jason Ensign of Aledo, Texas, and Shannon and Adam Smart of St. Charles, Mo.; sisters Anabel DeWit of South Africa, Sherry Jost of rural Peabody and LaDonna Balzer of Inman, and two grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Tabor College and sent in care of Jost Funeral Home, 401 S. Washington St., Hillsboro, also in charge of arrangements.
