• EUGENE K. FRANZEN, 89,
died Oct. 31.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Miller-Ott Funeral Home, 303 E. Main St., Goessel.
• DOROTHY A. JANZEN,
84, died Oct. 29 at Bethesda Home in Goessel.
A memorial service will be at 9 a.m. Nov. 3 in the chapel at Bethesda Home, 408 E. Main St., Goessel, with pastor Karen Andrews officiating.
She was born Sept. 22, 1927, and adopted by Peter and Susie Janzen of Walton.
Memorials may be made to the Bethesda Resident Care Fund, Bethesda Home, and sent in care of Miller-Ott Funeral Home, 303 E. Main, Goessel, KS 67053, also in charge of arrangements.
• DONALD RIFFEL,
73, a retired truck driver, died Oct. 22 at Norman Regional Hospital in Norman, Okla.
A graveside service was Oct. 26 at Lincolnville Cemetery.
He was born April 18, 1939, to Edward and Irene Benhardt Riffel at Lost Springs. He was married to Evelyn, who survives.
Other survivors include daughters Kim Johnson of Moore, Okla., and Melissa Riffel of San Antonio, Texas; brother Dwane of Arcadia, Calif.; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild and step-son Russell Lewellen of Minnesota.
Memorials may be made to the Leukemia Society and sent in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm St., Marion KS 66861, also in charge of arrangements.
• EUGENE STEINER,
80, a retired butcher, died Oct. 24 at his home in Hillsboro.
A memorial mass was Thursday, Oct. 27. at Holy Family Parish, St. Mark’s Catholic Church, 415 N Cedar St., Marion.
He was born June 14, 1931, to Frank and Agnes Hajek Steiner at Hillsboro. He was married to Beryl Steiner, who survives.
Other survivors include son Perry of Marion, Rex of Hillsboro and Roy of Parlin, N.J.; daughter Paula Kieffer of Clifton; sisters Bernice McDowell of Hillsboro, Henrietta Thomas of Wichita and Alice Fruits of Stockton, Calif., and seven grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Father Kapaun Fund and sent in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm St., Marion, KS 66861, also in charge of arrangements.
