• EUGENE K. FRANZEN, 89,

died Oct. 31.

Funeral arrangements are pending at Miller-Ott Funeral Home, 303 E. Main St., Goessel.

• DOROTHY A. JANZEN,

84, died Oct. 29 at Bethesda Home in Goessel.

A memorial service will be at 9 a.m. Nov. 3 in the chapel at Bethesda Home, 408 E. Main St., Goessel, with pastor Karen Andrews officiating.

She was born Sept. 22, 1927, and adopted by Peter and Susie Janzen of Walton.

Memorials may be made to the Bethesda Resident Care Fund, Bethesda Home, and sent in care of Miller-Ott Funeral Home, 303 E. Main, Goessel, KS 67053, also in charge of arrangements.

• DONALD RIFFEL,

73, a retired truck driver, died Oct. 22 at Norman Regional Hospital in Norman, Okla.

• ELMA E. BOLIN, 93,

a retired bookkeeper formerly of Canton, died Oct. 18, at Pinnacle Park Nursing Home in Salina.

Services were Oct. 22 at Olson’s Mortuary, Canton, with Pastor Becky Reed officiating. Burial was at Canton Township Cemetery.

She was born Feb. 1, 1918, to Denver and Agnes Emerson in Oklahoma City, Okla. On Aug. 15, 1941, she was married to Samuel A. Bolin, who predeceased her Jan. 20, 2000.

Survivors include a daughter-in-law Nancy R. (Hurtig) Bolin of McCook, Neb.; brother-in-law Roy O. and Frances Bolin of Gentry, Ark.; sister-in-law Martha Margaret Hunt of San Bernardino, Calif., and one grandson.

Memorials may be made to the Canton Senior Center or Hospice of Salina and sent in care of Olson’s Mortuary...

• CRAIG LEON “SPOOK” INLOW, 61,

a machine painter, died Oct. 14 in Florence.

No services are planned at this time.

He was born Dec. 3, 1949, to Paul and Margaret Betty Holdeman Inlow in Emporia. On Aug. 24, 1983, he was married to Judy Inlow, who survives.

Other survivors include his mother of Florence; brother Jeff and Kathy Inlow of Florence; one niece and one nephew.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of Kansas in Newton and donations may be sent in care of Baker Funeral Home, 114, N. Sycamore St., Peabody, KS 66866.

• HELEN JANE KLASSEN, 93,

• MARY ANN DUERKSEN, 93,

a homemaker of Lehigh, died Oct. 9 at The Cedars in McPherson.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12 at First Mennonite Church, 102 S. Ash St., Hillsboro, with pastor Kathy Neufeld Dunn officiating. Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 11 at Jost Funeral Home, 401 S. Washington, Hillsboro.

Burial will be at 10 a.m. Oct. 12 at Lehigh Mennonite Cemetery in Lehigh.

She was born April 23, 1918, to John W. and Sara (Loewen) Ewert in Lehigh. On May 14, 1942, she was married to Roland K. Duerksen, who predeceased her.

Survivors include sons Dennis and Mindee of Ft. Lupton, Colo., and Delmar and Arnette Duerksen of McPherson; daughter Florette and Richard Decker of Loveland, Colo.; eight grandchildren...
