• nova louise Bruner, 75,

of Marion, and a manager at C-Mart, died Nov. 27.

She was born Oct. 29, 1937, to Floyd and Velma Bogart Bredemeier in Marion. On Feb. 12, 1956, she was married to Merle Bruner, who survives.

Other survivors include daughters Cathy and Rick Cleeton of Marion and Cristi and Frank Soyez of Cedar Point; sisters Beverly Jirak of Marion and Roberta Warren of Carrollton, Mo.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

• alfred “paul” jost, 93,

of San Luis Obispo, Calif., and formerly of Hillsboro, died Nov. 21.

No funeral service was listed.

He was born Dec. 15, 1918, to Elizabeth (Funk) and Peter G. Jost in Herbert, Saskatchewan, Canada. In 1950, he was married to Jacqueline Haddock, who predeceased...

retired postal employee of Marion, died Nov. 27.

She was born Oct. 29, 1937, to Floyd and Velma (Bogart) Bredemeier at Marion. On Feb. 12, 1956, she was married to Merle Bruner, who survives.

• Lila a. hoffman, 91,

retired from the Marion County Treasurer’s office, died Nov. 24 at her home in Marion.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m., Friday, Nov. 30, at Marion Christian Church, 140 Elm St. Burial will be at Marion Cemetery.

Visitation with family is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, at Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm St., Marion.

She was born Nov. 20, 1921, to Christian and Mollie Link near Okeene, Okla. On Jan. 20, 1945, she was married to LeRoy Hoffman.

Survivors include daughters Janice Peter and Anita and Martin Hooper, all of Marion; sister Peggy and Don Buethe of Marion; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

a state employee, died Nov. 17 at Salem Home of Hillsboro.

The service was Nov. 20 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Marion. Burial was at Marion Cemetery.

He was born Jan. 1, 1928, to Joseph and Florence Schuyler at Vermillion. On Nov. 23, 1969, he was married to Lois Schlotthauer, who survives.

Daughter Jane Johnson of Wichita also survives.

Memorials may be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church and sent in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm St., Marion, KS 67063.

co-owner and bookkeeper of Aulne Grain, died Nov. 12 at her home in Marion.

The funeral is at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16, at Aulne United Methodist Church, 140th and Pawnee, rural Marion.

Visitation with family is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, at Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm St., Marion. Burial will be at Marion Cemetery.

She was born Dec. 15, 1918, to John and Rena (Conyers) Hett near Marion. On Jan. 1, 1942, she was married to Lloyd L. Darrow, who predeceased her.

Survivors include sons Jim and Kaye and Bill and Debbi, all of Marion; brother Jim and Carol Hett of Marion; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and sisters-in-laws Jackie Hett and Betty Darrow Mull.
